Heavenly Father I and many in the world are troubled by the invasion of Russia into the Ukraine. We know that You are in control but that You also gave man free will and that this world is broken and sinful. We also realize that Christ told us that before his return there would be wars and rumor of wars. He also warned us that like a farmer we would know the season. I am not saying it is the end times, what I am praying about is living life always ready for the end but living life as if it is going to go on well past my lifetime.
Holy Spirit the disciple Matthew recorded Christ when He said, “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. For these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, epidemics, and earthquakes in various places.” [Matthew 24:4-7, MEV]
Holy Spirit help me to live my life today as a living sacrifice seeking Your will and applying Your principles to my life. Help me to build Your kingdom by living a life that is fully representative of You. Let me walk and live what I believe and try to practice hospitality whenever I can. Help me to pray and do what I can for the people of Ukraine that is within my ability. Let me join with others and in faith praying for the protection of the people and that Russia will be stopped in what it is attempting to do. Help me to pay attention to and help the least of these where I live also.
Holy Spirit James tells us that Elijah was a man and his prayers would stop the rain for 3 years and then his prayers would bring the rain back. I will pray in faith that Russia fails to take the Ukraine and that many of the people will be safe. I will also pray for the homeless here at home, the poor and for the children at the orphanage and school in Eswantini. Help me to continue to lift pastors and churches up during this time so that they can have a real impact on their communities and their world.
I pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:9-18) In Jesus’ name, amen.
