Making My Petitions in the

Throne Room

Heavenly Father I praise You for having Christ be our advocate in heaven.  I praise You that when we pray we enter Your throne room and lay our petitions before You.  I also praise You for the insight from Revelations that the prayers we pray are like incense to You to be consumed as a sweet fragrance.

Holy Spirit I understand what the author of Hebrews was saying when he wrote, Hebrews 10:19-25(The Message)—So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.”  Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.  So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out.  Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.  He always keeps his word.  Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching. Hebrews 11:3—By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things visible.  Hebrews 11:6—And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. So considering these insights I come into the Most Holy Place and petition before You to heal my grandchildren who have gotten RSV, which is especially dangerous to Emmerich who is only 2 weeks old.  Holy Spirit please heal my daughter’s whole family so that the grandchildren can get to back being healthy and that Rachel can heal from her C-section.

Holy Spirit I strongly believe that when we align our  faith with Your will we will see miracles, healings and signs and wonders.  I come humbly before Your throne and ask that You cleanse me from all unrighteousness so that I can stand and pray with the knowledge of Your will and the humbleness required for You to hear me.  I know that I cannot live a life for You without Your assistance.  Holy Spirit lead me and help me to keep every thought, desire and want under control so that I can love God with all my heart and with all my being.

The end of all things is near.  Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.  Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.  If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.  Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
