Heavenly Father, I praise You for giving us Your word so that we can learn about You and read testimonies of the people who served or did not serve You before our time so we can see how we should live. I praise You for the establishment of Your church and for the purpose of people gathering to grow, encourage, and support each other. Help me to take command of my day and shake all evil from it.
Holy Spirit, You inspired the Hebrew writer to pen: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And James, the leader in Jerusalem of first church to write: Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Finally, John wrote to all of us who would come after him: If our hearts do not condemn us, we have
confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. Knowing all of these to be true, I come into the throne room with the help of all who pray with and for me to touch both of my knees. Right now, the repaired knee is swollen and needs to be healed, so I can have the surgery on my left knee on Tuesday, the 25th of March. I also petition that the surgery is a success and that I have no complications from it. I desire, if it be Your will, to continue to be able to walk so I can continue to work and serve You. Help me to have faith and to trust in Your decision to heal or not, for You know far more than I do. I seek healing, but most of all, I seek Your will and how You want to go forward with my life. Let me find peace in the trust I have in You. [Hebrews 4:16; James 5:13-15; 1 John 3:21-22]
Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain! [So God granted him what he requested.] I ask for the same in my life. In Jesus whom I trust, Amen. 1Chronicles 4:9&10
