My Hope is Unwavering

Heavenly Father I give You all the glory. I praise You for instilling within me a desire to face life and all the challenges that come my way because I have the Hope of my salvation and resurrection deep within my heart. I praise You for constantly expanding my knowledge and wisdom to know beyond doubt that You love me and want the best for me. I understand that I will be refined by hot fiery trials that will melt away the doubt and insecurity if I will stand on Your word, promises, and principles.

I hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for You who promised all this to me are faithful. I have set the Lord always before me; He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. [Hebrews 10:23; Psalm 16:8] I will listen, believe, and apply all that You, the Holy Spirit show, speak, or teach me. I will daily put my trust in the Lord and not lean to my way of thinking so that my mind can keep focused on You and what is right. Help me to live a life that helps me be dead to the fake gold of the world. Let me live so that I can think, speak, and live the way I was created for, fully balanced and grounded in the hope of my salvation and in the understanding of what the Holy Spirit is moving and doing in my life. Let this temple be always available, malleable, and usable for Your glory and for Your kingdom.

Grace and peace will be multiplied to me through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to His glory and excellence, by which He has given to me exceedingly great and precious promises so that through these things I might become a partaker of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. For this reason, help me to make every effort to add virtue to my faith; and to my virtue, knowledge, and to my knowledge, self-control; and to my self-control, patient endurance; and to my patient endurance, godliness; and to my godliness, brotherly kindness; and to my brotherly kindness love. For if all of these reside in me and abound, they will ensure that I will neither be useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to diligently make my calling and election sure so that when I add all these areas into my life I will not stumble and will be able to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which will be abundantly provided for me. I will humble myself, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift me up in due time. I will cast all my anxiety on Him because He cares for me. I shall be self-controlled and alert. Our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I will learn to resist him, standing firm in the faith, because I know that my brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering. And the God of all grace, who called me to his eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will Himself restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. [2 Peter 1:3-11 MEV version; 1Peter 5:6-11]
