Heavenly Father I praise You for being the Creator of all of what we know that exists. I know in my heart and from the teachings of Jesus that we live coexisting in the physical as well as the spiritual world around us. I know that Science is aware but can not explain that we have a soul that departs upon our death. I know You, O God, exist as sure as I know that the air I breathe and the wind I feel exist though I can not see either one but depend on both daily. I am as dependent upon breathing and being filled with Your Spirit daily as the Spirit gives me life.
Holy Spirit I may at times get discouraged, or even depressed thinking that my prayers have little effect. Yet, I know that deep within me this is my purpose and focus in life. I may fail to always live the righteous life expected of me and often I trip or stumble because of my arrogance or pride yet I come back to the humility and grace of my salvation and constantly check myself with Your Spirit. I have learned in the times that I have strayed from prayer much pain was entered into my life and the small world around me. I seek to be a better watchman and one that is consistent in my prayers. I will do my best to fulfill my calling and pray for my family’s salvation, protection, and health as well as the same for my church and my community. I will pray for Israel, and I will pray for my leaders no matter their party, lifestyle, or messages. You have raised wicked kings to do Your bidding before and I will let You be the one to move the hearts of those who lead my country.
Holy Spirit help me to stand firm, pray as an intercessor, a believer with faith at least as big as a mustard seed seeking Your heart, Your will, and Your mercy daily. Let me continue to witness in my lifetime Your wonder, Your miracles, Your healings, and hear Your voice when I need Your encouragement. Let me not be detoured by the business of life, the discouragement of the sinfulness and evil around me. Help me to fulfill my purpose and to know when I enter heaven I will see You and hear, “Thou good and faithful servant”. Let my prayers join my brothers and sisters and become the incense that surrounds Your throne. Let me kneel humbly and honestly before You giving petitions before You so that I will know that I have asked and that You will answer.
Now to Him who is able to establish me according to the gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen.
