Heavenly Father I praise You for the hope that You have instilled in every believer, that one day Your Son will return and we will spend eternity with You as we were originally created for. This hope builds our faith and it sustains us through the dry and arid times of life.
Holy Spirit Your word says: “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” “So that by two immutable things, in which God couldn't lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, which enters the Inner Place behind the veil.” “On His robe and on His thigh He has written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” [Titus 2:13, Hebrews 6:18&19; Revelations 19:16] So I place my hope, my trust, and my faith in You and that Your word is true.
I also claim the promise made in Psalm 81:10 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. I know Your word to be true and I have finally transverse my “Egypt” and I am walking in Your light and Your statutes so that I may draw close to You and taste and see that You are good.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
