Heavenly Father I praise You for being much more than I can comprehend. I praise You for sending Christ and allowing miracles to occur here on the earth. I praise You for allowing me to witness a miracle in my own life when Philip was born after we were told he would not live because of how slow his heart beat was the first time we listened to it. Through prayer, faith and believing nothing is impossible for You I witnessed my son be born. I may not understand much, but I know You are a God of miracles as well as many other things.
Holy Spirit again I come to You with the prayer of discernment for people with the gift of miracles. I pray that You will help these people who have this gift will be wise in listening to Your Holy Spirit so that they always are working within Your will. Help these people to be so full of Your Spirit that they will use the Power You entrust to them to do miracles that will fully and completely glorify You. Help them to learn from the Apostles how to make sure that people do not worship them but the God who works through them. Help them to speak with authority and humility.
Holy Spirit I pray that the people with the gift of miracles will be steadfast and strong in their faith. I pray that they will make sure You are always glorified and that they do not back down to other so called “Christian Experts” who may not understand, have faith, or believe that You have given them this gift even in our time. Help me to unite with others to pray that these people can step up when miracles are needed to convince a blind world and to assist people of faith. Help me to pray with a discerning spirit so that I can confidently back these people with prayer of faith.
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.—1Corinthians 1:4-9
