Psalms 16:7&8—I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Holy Spirit the word tells us that God has called us to peace. (1Cor.7:15) Christ told us, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27) “I have told you these thing, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) I know that a heart at peace gives life to the body. (Prov. 14:30) I also understand the promise of Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
Holy Spirit I seek this peace in my mind, heart, spirit and soul. I seek to be settled in my thoughts. I seek to renew my mind as Paul told us to do in Romans 12. I need to take captive my thoughts as Paul letter to the Corinthians instructs us to do. I need to meditate day and night on Your word, because this is where I find my confidence in Your truth. Help me to focus daily on the desires of Your heart and to set my mind on things that are pure, true and faithful so that I can replace the thoughts of frustration, temptation and evil. Help me to find peace even after so much tribulation in my life. Help me to rest in the peace and hope of Your love, knowing that I am forgiven, I am a child of Yours and I am traveling to my promise land, heaven. Help me to continue to rely on You when my thoughts and dreams haunt me of my son’s death. Help me to rest assured the ultimate victory is Yours and that I need to soldier on for now. Let me wear my armor with humility and keep my ear attuned to Your voice so that I do not lose sight of the victory before me. Help me to pray with conviction for the lost. Help me to pray with power for the hurting. Let me pray with confidence that nothing is impossible for You.
Isaiah 30:20&21—And though the Lord gives me the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet my teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore. But my eyes shall see my teachers. My ears shall hear a word behind me, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” Isaiah 33:6—You are the sure foundation for my times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. Isaiah 40:29—You give power to the weak, and to those who have no might You increase their strength. Isaiah 40:31—But since I wait on the Lord, He shall renew my strength; I shall mount up with wings like eagles, I shall run and not be weary, I will walk and not faint. I put my faith in Christ Jesus with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and in this I say, Amen.
