Praying for the Saints

Heavenly Father I praise You for the word which gives us a peek at who You are and gives us wisdom and examples of how to live or how not to live. I praise You for creating us with a purpose and with hope of eternity in heaven which will be where we can live as we were intended to live before sin came into the world and began the clock of distruction.

Holy Spirit Your word tells me, “Pray in the Spirit always with all kinds of prayer and supplication. To that end be alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.” [Ephesians 6:18] I pray today for Neoma Berry, my aunt and one of the faithful prayer warriors who prays with me. I pray for healing of her hip that just had surgery after being broken by a fall. I pray You will lift her spirits and help her to continue to enjoy time with her children and grandchildren, continuing to dispense her wisdom and love on all of them.

Holy Spirits I pray for all the saints that reside in our churches throughout the world and pray for their continue support of prayer, wisdom and knowledge. I pray that we listen and learn from them and grow in the Spirit and in wisdom because of them. I pray that You continue to allow us to encourage them and lift them up in prayer for they are the very foundation of the body and without them we have no well to draw water from to quench our thirst of understanding and knowledge.

Holy Spirit I pray for an uplifting of Your Spirit for the Prayer Warriors who dedicate major parts of their time for praying for all the needs of the body, communities, and the world in general. Their faithfulness is the life blood of sustenance that keeps our world from collapsing into full darkness, chaos and sin. Their faithfulness to pray keeps Your ear and Your heart in full display for all to see the hope of salvation and the glory of eternity without sin.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
