Heavenly Father I been blessed for the past 55 soon to be 56 years to meet and know many people. Many have helped me to understand You better as I have matured. I praise You for opportunities You have given to me in my life and for the blessings that sustain me through the dark and hard times when they come.
Holy Spirit I ask that You would watch over the congregation at Green Country Church and their pastor Brian (Buddy) Carr. Bless them and help them grow to be healthy and vibrant for You. Holy Spirit bless the people that were my mentors their like Ken and Marty O’neal, Linda Vrendenburg, and so many who have since went to meet You in heaven.
Holy Spirit I ask that You watch over, bless, and bring people into the lives of my classmates from High School that they would know You and live their lives to serve You. I praise You for the years at Morley Standwood that I got to grow, learn, laugh, play sports, play in band, rake leaves at the cemetery and just enjoy my teen years. Help me to find some way as life goes on to be a blessing to them as they have been for me.
Holy Spirit I ask that You watch over the congregation at New Covenant in Clio where I would attend for 27 years. I praise You for all the youth I was able to serve, the people I was able to sing with, the worship teams I was able to be a part of the mission trips and Big Stuff trips, with various volunteers and leaders. I praise You for Dan and Judy who mentored me in prayer and speaking often and would have me over to their home. I praise You for all the friends I made there and how some still stay in contact with me.
Holy Spirit I praise You for the opportunity to pray over the pastors of the East Michigan Free Methodist Conference. You have really taught me to seek You on their behalf. I also praise You for all the other pastors, churches, organizations, missionaries and ministries I have been able to pray over and support. I pray that others will learn to lift all these people and operations in prayer and with support.
Holy Spirit I praise You for my new chapter in life with the fellowship I get to have with the people of the Millington Church of God. Some I have known for years and others I am just beginning to know.
Holy Spirit I praise each and every person who receives my email prayers daily and pray when they can in unity over the people, issues and promises that Your Spirit lays on my heart each day to pray. Help, bless, protect each and every one of these people for I know that as we join in Unity and take on the world that the world is going to push back at us in any way that it can. Give these and me the strength to face whatever is thrown our way and wear our armor well so that we can stand for You and be held accountable so on our first day in heaven we all can hear Your words of , welcome my good and faithful servants.
Holy Spirit watch over and protect my co-workers who put their lives on the line each day. Help me to be a witness to my student/prisoners by how I live my life, by how I speak and how I demonstrate Your grace. I thank You for my over 19 years of working in the prison system.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to His own glory and excellence, by which He has given to me exceedingly great and precious promises, so that through these things I might become a partaker of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. For this reason help me to make every effort to add virtue to my faith; and to my virtue, knowledge, and to my knowledge, self-control; and to my self-control, patient endurance; and to my patient endurance, godliness; and to my godliness, brotherly kindness; and to my brotherly kindness love. For if all of these reside in me and abound, they will ensure that I will neither be useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to diligently make my calling and election sure so that when I add all of these areas into my life I will not stumble and will be able to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which will be abundantly provided for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 2 Peter 1:3-11 MEV version
