Praying Over Lost Sheep

Heavenly Father I come before You with praise. I praise You for being our Creator, our God, our Salvation, and for Your desire to have a relationship with us. I ask that You take command of my morning and shake all evil out of it so I can stand and do what You desire of me.

God, You are my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid. Holy Spirit continue to prompt me in my life towards wisdom, wise choices and to speak sincerely and with love in my attitude. Let me be a living sacrifice daily so that I am completely dead to my will and fully prepared for Your will. Renew my mind with Your word, with praise, with good books, with music, and with true worship. I seek today to have the boldness of Caleb, the wisdom of Daniel, the power of Your Spirit like Peter and Paul, and the unwavering heart like Steven. I seek to be ready to defend or explain my faith and to realize that Only You can change a heart. I am just the tool to get people to open up to You.

Help me to do better with people who are bitter or heartbroken and blame You. They are so deep into their depression that they have decided they are just destined for hell. I can only give them over to You and pray for their salvation and for them to have a change of heart. I pray today for those in my life and in the lives of people I know who have not accepted You, blame You, are angry with You, or only see the failures of people who serve You so that they feel they are justified in not committing to You. I pray Your Spirit will continue to prick their heart, open their eyes, and give them evidence of their sinfulness.

Holy Spirit help me and those I am praying to oversee the wisdom of what James was inspired to write: But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. Let them hear, understand, and decide to follow. All I can do is pray for their soul and for my obedience not to be a stumbling block to seeing Jesus correctly. Amen. [James 1:25; James 4:4-10]
