Praying over the Next Generation of Adults

Heavenly Father, I praise You and feel blessed that I can pray for, interact with, and talk to this next group of adults who have so much potential. Many are living as Your temples already. I praise You that I can at least have this little joy out of the sorrow of losing my son Philip so early in life.

Heavenly Father I lift up the following: Emmerson, Mike, Cade, Paul, Emma, Akierra, Maddilyn, Margaret, Dallas, Noah, Mariah, Amber, Olivia, Quinten, Gabe, Gavin, Asa, Naomi, Luke, Jack, Rueben, Wyatt, Dakota, Joshua, Sophia, Aletha, Josh, Eva, Isabelle, Abigail, Brenna, Caleb, Amanda, Elizabeth, Matthew, Lilly, Timothy, Katie, Chase and Kayla. Holy Spirit for the ones who know You I ask that You bless them today and open their eyes to Your wonder around them. Emboldened them with the courage of Caleb, Joshua, and David, give them the wisdom and patience of Daniel, Joseph, Nehemiah and. Help them to walk in Your Spirit with Your strength as Paul, Peter, and the rest of the disciples did. Help these adults to learn to be diligent like Esther, Deborah, Lydia, and Ruth and to be strong in their character and above reproach like Stephen, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

For these adults who do not know You as their personal savior, let Your Holy Spirit continue to work on their spirit and conscience and allow influencers to come into their lives who will help them see the worth of Your gift of salvation. Help them to find wisdom and truth to be desired. Help them to feel the emptiness of not having You in their lives.

Help all of us more mature adults to set an example and live lives that will show the way and not create hindrances or stumbling blocks for them. Do not allow us to put unrealistic expectations on them but t also hold them accountable as adults. Help us to be honest and forthright with them at all times, and recognize them as adults and individuals.

I thank my God for every reminder of you. In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy, due to your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ…..you all are fellow partakers of my grace. For God is my witness, how I long after you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, being, filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. (Philippians 1:3-6, 7b-11)
