Reminder Notes Written on Our Hands

Heavenly Father, I praise You today for how You created us and know all of us intimately and thoroughly. I praise You for being a God of detail. I praise You for the love You have demonstrated to us and that You desire for us to know You. Today, Help me take command of my day and shake the evil from it.

Holy Spirit, Your word says: “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before me.” What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, who is risen, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: For Your sake, we are killed all day long; we are counted as sheep

for the slaughter.” No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. [Isaiah 49:16; Romans 8:31-39]

Holy Spirit, I am so thankful that God remembers me. I am inscribed on the palms of His hands, and nothing can come between us. Many days, this is the only hope that sustains me when I face the storm, the fury of others, the hate, injustice, and the dark and sinful nature of this world. Let this love continue to embolden my hope and faith so that I may live with a level of confidence in walking with You.

Since I am receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved, let me be gracious, by which I may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For God, You are my consuming fire. I will perpetuate brotherly love to continue. I will not forget to entertain strangers, knowing that, at times, that has meant entertaining Angels unknowingly. I will remember those who have been imprisoned around the world for their faith and join with them in prayer and solidarity. I will stand with and remember those who have been abused, berated, or beaten because of being a child of God and will identify with them no matter the cost. I will honor my marriage and keep my bed undefiled. I will let God judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. I will use money but never love it or desire it so that it never interferes with my devotion to God. I will learn to be content with what I have, for I know Your word says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So that I can always boldly proclaim, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, what can man do to me?” I will remember those who rule over me, who have proclaimed to me the word of God. I will follow their faith, considering the results it has produced in their lives. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In Jesus’ name, I anchor my salvation, amen. [Hebrews 13:28-8, MEV and my paraphrase]
