Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for giving me grace and mercy. For forgiving me not only of sin but when I make unwise decisions. I praise You for having enough faith in me to allow me to be a husband, father, and grandfather. Help me to take command of my morning and to shake any evil from it.
Holy Spirit, I seek to follow Christ’s command when He said, “As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” [John 15:9-11] I seek Your joy and to be in the center of Your love so help me to be wise and to follow Your commands and principles.
Sovereign Lord, You made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: (Psalm 2:1,2) “Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers gather together against the Lord and his Anointed One.” Indeed, Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your Holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed. They did what Your power and will have decided beforehand should happen. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of Your Holy servant Jesus. Amen. [Acts 4:24-30]
