Heavenly Father I praise You for reaching back out to this sinful world and giving us a way to have a relationship again. I praise You for Your mercy and grace. I praise You for preparing a home for us where we will be able to live the way You intended. I praise You for slowly teaching me wisdom and how to get along with others.
Holy Spirit I come to You to take my petitions before Christ and the Father. I ask for mercy for the prisoners I witnessed fighting this morning. I pray for protection for my coworkers who have to put themselves in harm’s way to stop these violent attacks. Holy Spirit I ask that You would help the people of Ukraine as they have been attacked and continually bombarded by tanks, infantry, and airplanes. I pray You will raise up leaders who can bring peace back to this country and bring justice to those who perpetuated these attacks.
Holy Spirit I ask, as king David did long ago, search my heart and remove any wicked way in me. Take from me any bitterness, hatred and anger. Clean my heart and continue to motivate me to forgive. Help me to live my life with You as the center of who I am. I am well aware that I am not perfect, I am not anybody important, that my ways are usually not the best or right ways. Help me to improve on my ability to communicate and demonstrate love and forgiveness. Teach me to be a better husband, father and grandfather. Help me to talk less and listen more.
Holy Spirit I pray for a hedge of protection for those who pray with me for I know that when we unite to pray the enemy will attack all of us where we are the most vulnerable or weakest. I pray for encouragement to be brought into the lives of the other people who pray and the pastors and church teams that I pray with and over. I pray that the EMFC will find the Superintendent that will help them to move forward, grow in Your Spirit and find power and forgiveness to reach their communities. I pray for a leader who will be humble but wise. I pray protection over this leader and their family for they will be vulnerable as they step into a much more public position.
Holy Spirit I pray that if it is in the will of the Father, I would get the principal job in Lapeer and Macomb, but if it is not in Your will that I will be content where You have placed me. I also pray that You would help me to be a better person and to give me wisdom and discernment and that You would use my mouth and my writings to speak Your words, Your inspiration and Your direction.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight, so that You are justified when You speak, and You are blameless when You judge. I was brought forth in my iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You make me to know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones that You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You. Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. [Psalm 51:1-17]
