Taking a Moment to Pray for Others

Heavenly Father I praise You for today and all the surprises that come in each day. I praise You for the job I have that allows me to support my family, church, and gives me the opportunity to work with people of all walks of life. I praise You for how You have worked in me and helped me through the last four years. Help me to take command of my morning and shake the evil from it.

Holy Spirit I come into Your throne room and lay my praises and petitions before the feet of God. I humbly ask that You would heal or help Dawn work through and tolerate the medications and pain for her Level 4 Cancer. Help her sister Audrey through this difficult time also. Bring this family comfort and if it is in Your will a miracle while Dawn walks this earth, if not she will have a new body soon.

Holy Spirit I ask that You would move in the lives of Emmerson, Mike, Cade, Emma, Akierra, Maddilyn, Margaret, Dallas, Noah, Mariah, Amber, Olivia, Quinten, Gabe, Gavin, Asa, Naomi, Luke, Jack, Rueben, Wyatt, Joshua, Sophia, Aletha, Joshua, Eva, Isabelle, Rose, Abigail, Brenna, Caleb, Amanda, Elizabeth, Matthew, Lilly, Timothy, Steven, Ethen, Katie, Kayla, Paul, Zoe, Willow, Noah. Help them to know You, follow You, talk to You, seek You, and learn to understand the gift of salvation and all that You have designed them to be. Help them to see the world through Your eyes and see the wonder, the miracles, the beauty, and order inside the chaos. Help them to seek out and fulfill why they were created and to learn to trust You. Help their faith to grow way beyond me and my generation. Help them to be leaders, builders, and testify to who You are. Help them to understand how important they are and that they are adopted by the King of Kings and destined for great things for You. The world may never know them as You do but they belong as kingdom builders. Help them to find people who will mentor them, who will keep them accountable, and encourage them as they move forward in life. Help me to continue to write to some of them and give them hope, wisdom, and encouragement. Help me to be faithful to pray for them and to listen whenever they need someone to just listen and not try to fix things for them.

Holy Spirit continue to give me wisdom, discernment, and humility as I lead different teams of people at work. Help me to lift them in prayer daily and be an encourager to them as much as possible. Help me to meet their needs at work and to be a person who listens better than I speak. Help me to pray for their private lives and to support them when I can. Teach me to be a leader who represents You and fulfills my responsibilities to both my bosses and to my staff. Help my teams witness success and find joy and peace. Protect them as daily they walk into hell and face the worst of society and do their best to make life a little better and to help the least of these in prison.

Therefore, let me not sleep as others do. But let me be alert and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But let me, who is of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not appointed me to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for me, so that whether I am awake or asleep, I will live together with Him. So, I will comfort myself and edify my brothers and sisters. I will acknowledge those who labor around me, and/or are appointed over me in the Lord, and instruct me. I will esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among the members of the body of Christ. I have been exhorted, to warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, and be patient toward everyone. I will not render evil for evil to anyone. But always seek to do good to others. I will rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning me. I will not quench the Spirit. Nor will I despise prophecies. I will examine all things. Firmly hold onto what is good. Abstain from all appearances of evil. May the very God of peace sanctify me completely. And I pray to God that my whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. For I know that faithful is He who calls me, for He also will do it. Amen. 1 Thessalonians 5:6-24
