Heavenly Father, I praise You for being my king and creator. I praise You for giving me life, with freewill, with purpose and with the opportunity to have a relationship with You. I praise You for breathing Your Spirit into my life through the Holy Spirit and through Your word. I praise You for the trials and paths You have journeyed with me and taught me to stand and trust in You.
Holy Spirit I pray for wisdom, for You inspired James to write that we needed to ask You for wisdom. I pray for direction so that I can fulfill my purpose in life. I pray for my church as they seek to find a new pastor, to replace the pastor we have who is retiring. I pray that You will assist in helping me set up a book signing so that I can promote the books You inspired me to write and create a way to use the profits for Your kingdom and not my pocket book. I pray for the health and growth of my family and for them all to learn to put their trust in You. I pray that You will help my family and I as we navigate life in this chaotic world.
Holy Spirit, teach me how to be a better kingdom builder and how to pray with a faith
that will move mountains, defeat giants, heal the sick and pray within Your will as I seek to have Your heart in what I do. Help me to lead others to pray with conviction and faith that nothing isimpossible for You. Help me to teach them to pray Your word back to You so that they can know Your word is true and trustworthy. Help me to pray with humility, but with powerfrom You also.
I know that Your word teaches us how to pray and how to seek You in the morning and all through our day. I alsounderstand that You sent us the Holy Spirit to walk, talk and lead us if we will listen and obey. Teach me to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s voice and promptings. Loose onto me wisdom,understanding, knowledge, discernment and joy while binding pride, envy, lust
and any other sin that may try to take root in my life. Help me to walk life with compassion for others, demonstrating Your love and truth. Help me to be wise with the words I choose to speak and to be wise in what I attempt to do each day in life.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Holy Spirit help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts,since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as we sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the
Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
