The Least of These Part 3

Heavenly Father I praise You for being a Father and Creator that is still involved and interested in our lives. I praise You that You know the very number of hairs our heads. As I grow in faith and years I have learned how concerned You are about how we treat each other and how we learn to trust, obey, and do what Your word instructs us in how we should live.

Holy Spirit when Christ was giving the parable of the Goats and sheep he was letting us know how we should conduct our lives and what is important to the Father. He said, “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Since I was a child I have learned in some way or another to fulfill each of these parts of Your words. I have given clothes or supported missions that clothe people, I have visited the sick and the invalids in their homes and their homes. I have learned to educate and help those in prison to improve their lives and have prayed over all of them. Help me to continue to be a faithful servant and to fulfill Your desire to help what we often look at as the least of these. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Holy Spirit help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. These virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
