Heavenly Father I come before You today and bring praise from my heart for You being my creator, the world’s creator, and for providing hope. I praise You for each day that I wake up that Your Holy Spirit walks, talks and inspires me as I face all things during my day whether good, fun, trying, or stressful. I praise You for my salvation from the gift Your Son Jesus gave to me by dying on the cross and the hope of eternal life when He defeated the grave three days later.
Holy Spirit help me to take on the same blessing as when God spoke to Joshua and said: “Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” [Joshua 1:9] Each day I am faced with new challenges, trials, and tribulations, and I need to remember with confidence that You are not only for me but also with me. You will walk through the valley of the shadow of death with me. You will be with me and support me as I do things way out of my comfort zone. You build my faith by letting me go through trials and frustrations. You build who I am as Your word tells me: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” [John 14:12-14; John 14:16-17 NKJV; John 15:7&8]
Holy Spirit guide me today and provide me with Your wisdom so I can think, speak, and do Your will and grow in my faith until the day I reach heaven. Let me about building Your kingdom in my heart, my family, my community, and my areas of influence. Open doors for me to join with my brothers and sisters in Christ and be a united prayer front to affect change in our communities to honor You. Help us to pray for the sick, the hurting, the lost and help us to encourage each other. Help me to pray for blessings You have promised throughout Your word and to bless others with these blessings also. Let me pray and live a life that will open people’s eyes to who You are and why You provide hope and life.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
