Heavenly Father I praise You for not only being the creator but that Your creation had a purpose also. I praise You that even though our free will, sin and all of Satan’s attempts to create discord and chaos has not stopped the path to a new home with an eternity spent with You. I praise You for giving us Jesus for a little while to be an example of how to deal with adversity and for giving us the Holy Spirit to help us get through trials and tribulations.
Christ told His disciples and they repeated it for it affects us to: “For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and have come into the world. As I said, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.” “Do you now believe? Listen, the hour is coming. Yes, it has now come that you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with Me. I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.”
Holy Spirit in my life I have faced many trials and tribulations. I have faced many mountains and giants in my life. I have also experienced Your blessings and Your goodness. I have seen miracles and I have seen healings. I have endured hardship and I have been blessed at times. Most of all I have had to seek You daily and rely on You to continue to put one foot in front of the other. I, like many of my brothers and sisters, are witnessing great chaos, tribulations, wars, droughts, hunger, hatred, and sin growing exponentially. We see and are witnessing a world very similar to the world Noah lived in. We are seeing things once held sacred being desecrated, justice no longer exists and the world has bought into the lie of fairness. Help us who are able to still bend a knee and pray stand in the gap for others. Help us to pray and live as Jesus did without prejudice or self-righteousness. Help us to pray for all who have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Help us to live in this world but not become part of or engulfed into the world and its chaos. Help us to live a life that puts above sin, and to strive for perfection knowing only Enoch actually achieved it and walked off with You. Help us to be the calm in the storm. Let us pray with conviction and power. Help us to remain humble and not give into pride. Help us to desire only You and Your ways and not give into the lusts of the world. Help us to join together and be one in Spirit and love so that we can stand against hate, evil and the world’s idea of strength. Help us to live a life that demonstrates hope and an alternative to the decisiveness the world pushes. Help us not fight but love even when it is the most difficult thing to do, because people lives are in the balance between heaven and hell.
Holy Spirit help me to pray and lead people in prayer with a purpose. Let my mouth be full of nice words or profound thoughts, let my mouth speak truth, love, hope and wisdom that will catch Your ear and change the community around me. Help my faith to withstand these gale force storms that face me and others right now. Help us to stand strong like the oak when the wind blows. Let my roots of belief and hope run very deep within Your word, wisdom, and discernment so that I can continue to be refreshed by Your Spirit and blessings.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
