faithHeavenly Father I praise You for each day as my knee progresses to being whole again. I praise You for allowing us to advance enough to repair parts of the body like knees, hips, and shoulders. I praise You for the people You have blessed who can learn to be doctors, nurses, and others who work in the health care industry to work with us to be healthy and to be able to find ways to pay for our care. I praise You for how You are opening up all the coverage Kayla needs in order to have a PET scan and CT scan at the Chicago Cancer Institute. I continue to pray that through all the tests they will find a way to help heal this young lady so that she can continue to serve and witness for You.
Holy Spirit let me learn the lesson that Paul was trying to teach Timothy in his letter which was inspired by You, when he wrote, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” [2Timothy 3:16&17] Holy Spirit allow my faith to be strong and deep enough to believe that Your Spirit breathed into men to write Your words the way You wanted it written and that each time a translation was done into a new language that the people You inspired to translate stayed true to the truth of Your words. Help me to believe that Your word is unerring and given to us to grow in wisdom and understanding. Let me also understand that You try to give many different views to broaden our picture of what Christ’s life was like here on the earth.
Holy Spirit help me to stand firmly on the promises, principles and examples that are in Your Word so that I may use them as guidelines of how to live my life. Let me trust in Your Spirit as You prompt me to do, say and live within Your will. Let my faith grow one block at a time on small things so that I can have faith for the big things. Help me to put my trust in You so that I can believe that if you want me to move forward in my job that it will because it is Your will not mine. If I remain in my job where I am help me to be content. Help me to make my state of mind like Paul’s when he said, “I do not speak because I have need, for I have learned in whatever state I am to be content. I know both how to face humble circumstances and how to have abundance. Everywhere and in all things I have learned the secret, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me.” [Philippians 4:11-13]
Therefore by Him let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to His name. I will not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. I will obey those who rule over me, and be submissive for they watch out for my soul, because one day they must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
