“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with justice and with righteousness, from now until forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6&7
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were created through Him, and without Him, nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and life was the light of mankind. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.” [John 1:1-5] “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” [John 3:16-21]
Holy Spirit as we celebrate this season recognizing the birth of Christ help us to remember that unto us God sent Him with a mission and that unto us He would and did die for our sins and then be resurrected 3 days later so that we could know that He is above all and beyond all of our understanding and that He sent You, the Holy Spirit to be among us until His triumphant return. Help us to accept this gift and to cherish it with all that we are. Help us to stay in fervent prayer until we see all that can be saved, saved, and to pray with the authority given to us so that we may do God’s will. Help us to fulfill what Christ said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” [John 14:12-14]
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, and be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. Amen. [1Corinthians 15:58; 1Corinthians 16:13; Philippians 2:14&15]
