Valleys and Mountains

Heavenly Father, I praise You for being my creator, king, father, and designers of worlds. You Speak it happens. Your word is true and can not fail. You are in control, but You allow free will and sin to work its way through the world for a time until Your Son’s return. You can supersede anything.

Holy Spirit lately I have walked through valleys and climbed a few mountains. I have experienced the lowest a person can experience but I have also had some good in my life. I am blessed with a wife, two living children, and three great grandchildren. I have blessed to work for over 35 years with a steady income for our family. Yet I constantly face bills, unexpected bills and ways to make it in this time. I face much stress and depression at work. I know Your word says, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.” [Isaiah 43:1b-2]

Holy Spirit help my unbelief and help me to remember Your promise from Isaiah when I am in the deepest darkest part of the valley. Help me to remember that You fulfilled Your promise when I am on the mountain. Help me to always praise You for being with me, guiding me, leading and protecting me. Help me to always give testimony that only because of You do I still stand today. Let the words I speak and what I focus on always be honorable to You. I no longer should have pride and I should no longer have hate in my life yet at times I find places where I do and ask that You clean and remove them from me.

Holy Spirit refresh my soul, give me a drink of Your living water, and help me to keep walking forward with Your lamp to guide my feet. In all things I praise You and give honor to Jesus Christ my Savior and my Lord. Amen.
