Walking Forward Through My Day

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and the earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand, it is to make great and to give strength to all. Now, therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. [1 Chronicles 29:11-13]

Holy Spirit I come before You this morning and claim through You to take command of it as You made Job to understand what he should do. I, as Your living temple, offer myself as a living sacrifice to You, so that I may learn, understand, and apply Your will in my life for today. I will work on renewing my mind today with Your word, wisdom written by inspired authors, worshipping along with music written to praise and recognize You, and listening to testimonies of others who have been faithful to You and You to them. I ask that You help me to keep my temple clean and clear of all sin and evil. Help me to demonstrate the love of Christ, give forgiveness, and walk with integrity so that I honor You, my King and Father. Help me to be a child who brings You delight and makes You proud with my humility in check. Let me follow in the footsteps of those who championed Your kingdom by leaning deeply on the faith that You so freely give to us. Let me rest in hope, draw strength from joy, walk with wisdom, and arm myself with Your word and with Your Spirit. Help me to reflect Your light, and breathe out Your Spirit so that others can see You within me.

But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. Others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
