We Are Blessed

Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your desire to have a personal relationship with us. I praise You for giving us purpose and hope to live by. I praise You for providing an example in Jesus Christ and a guide in the Holy Spirit. I praise You for the trinity and for the function of each part and the whole.

Holy Spirit Your word tells us in Psalms 32:1&2 and repeated by Paul in Romans 4:7&8, “Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” And Jesus told us and it is recorded in John 3:16-19; “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the verdict, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Holy Spirit I realize that those of us who pray and believe with all our heart, have accepted the gift of salvation, asked for forgiveness, and are washed by the atoning blood of Jesus from His death on the cross, should be always in a state of praise for having our sins covered and being heirs to the kingdom. I personally thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness for I am not worthy of it. I realize that I am a failure on many fronts, that I battle with pride and stubbornness often and I fight a burning anger from work that I have to constantly stay in prayer to keep from consuming me. I also know that I am far, far from being perfect. Yet, You still desire a relationship with me and that I daily learn how to put my trust in You. To the world I am often a hypocrite, only because I stray from fully following You and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. It shames me because it does not help Your reputation among the people I care about. Help me to be a better representative of You and to allow You to run my life with full control so that I live the fullest life I can.

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with all of you” who pray with me daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen. [2Thessalonians 3:16]
