Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:9-13)
Holy Spirit help me to live my life from one breath at a time to step by step to day by day to year by year. Let me live with a faith that reflects the same fortitude that made Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego say that they would only serve You whether they burned or God saved them. Let me believe like Jonathan when he told his armor bearer, “Come, let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. Perhaps the Lord will work for us. For the Lord is not limited to save by many or by few.” Or when Joseph stayed faithful to his dreams even though his brothers sold him, falsely accused and imprisoned, and forgotten by those he assisted until he saw his dream come true. Help me to be bold in what I have learned to stand like David when he faced Goliath, or Abram leaving and going where God told him to go, or Gideon reducing his army so God could get the glory. Let me live and do good and know that I am not promised guaranteed success or guaranteed provisions before I envision and move forward. I am only guaranteed of two things in Your word. One, You will never leave nor forsake me, and two, at the end of my life I am guaranteed to enjoy the victory with eternal life, everything else is walking in faith and seeing what God has placed before me even if it ends with a cross. My eternity is certain because You say that a man who believes in You and keeps his mind and focus on You will see and enjoy eternity with You. I will be like what the Psalmist wrote, a tree planted by the rives of water that brings forth fruit in its season. I will firmly plant my roots into Your living water and foundation so that I can grow, weather storms, and bear the fruits of the spirit. Let my faith be strong enough to live life not shy from it or wait for all things to be provided before I move forward. I will lean on Godly wisdom and the promptings of Your Spirit. [1 Samuel 14:6, Psalms 1:3]
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
