“So I say, ‘My splendor is gone and all that I hoped from the Lord.’ I remember my affliction, my wandering, the bitterness, and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for Him.’ The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” [Lamentations 3:18-26]
I will not allow myself to conform, become like, or settle for, the pattern, desires, misconceptions, lies of this world, because I will be changed in my thinking, transformed in my thoughts, look at life differently so that continually renew, refresh, adjust my thinking to my mind so that it focuses only on what is Christ worthy. So, I will guard the words of my mouth, watch what I give attention to, so I can stand with and before God with a heart that leans towards holiness. I am not perfect, nor will I be, but I strive to be set apart with a conscience that uses Christ’s life, words, and the Bible to be my measuring stick on how I should think, breathe, eat, drink, learn and act in life. This will help in my relationship with Christ, my Rock, Support, Comfort, Companion as I learn to live my life while I am here on the earth as close to the design and purpose He instilled in me when I was created. I live with the hope that I will continue to live beyond the death of this world and learn all that was intended for me in eternity. [Romans 12:2; Psalm 19:14 personal interpretation]
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
