What the Angels Say

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and good will toward men.  We praise You for this season when we remember Jesus Christ coming to the earth as a baby to grow and live as men do.  We remember that this would be the start of building the new kingdom, God’s kingdom.  We praise You Father for creating a bridge for us to have for salvation so that Satan’s reign could be stopped and a new light appear in the darkness with a hope that transcends this life.

Holy Spirit at this time of year more people talk about angels than other times of the year.  I praise You that Your servants that are angels were made with the purpose of protecting us, used to bring messages to us, make up Your army and are the heavenly choir that the shepherds of old got to see and hear as they proclaimed the coming of Christ.  I also understand that some of the angels decided to rebel and join Lucifer and were either in chains or cast down to earth for a period of time.  I also understand that when they reveal their true identity that the first words is almost always, fear not.

Holy Spirit help me to realize that the love of God is so pure that it casts out fear.  Help me to accept this love so that I may be bold and unafraid of losing my life, my reputation for following Christ.  I understand that in life we will all face troubles, some more than others.  With a world full of sin, free will and Lucifer and his cohorts roaming around life will never be easy.  But, I serve a God who says to fear not, and his servants the angels echo this by saying fear not.  I do not worship angels, I only worship the God of my salvation, but I do have an appreciation for his servants sent to protect me and to help in the fight against the evil and spirits of this world.  Help me to be like Elisha and realize that an army of angels is encamped around me.  Help me to be in tune with Your Holy Spirit so that I avoid or stand strong against all the evil and sin around me.

Holy Spirit help me to sing Your praises and rejoice when new brothers and sisters are adopted into the family through the acceptance of salvation.  Help me to worship in my heart and in my voice about Your Glory, Your Mercy, Your Grace and Your Majesty.  Teach me to love in a way that I defeat fear.  Help me to be humble enough to clearly hear Your voice and pray with the sincerity and might that Daniel prayed with.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons and daughters through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.  And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.  And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen! Amen!
