What Time Is It

Heavenly Father You were, is, and always will be and for this we praise You. I praise You for being the creator, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I praise You for loving me enough that You made a way for me to not die in my sins as long as I choose to have a relationship with You. I praise You for the gift of prayer where I can enter Your throne room and remind You of the promises of Your word so that I can learn how to be Your child.

Holy Spirit, You have told us that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared with a hot iron. (1 Timothy 4:1&2) Holy Spirit our current culture has so seared their consciences it is very hard to even understand their hard hearts. We have become such rebellious people that we are very close to being like the people in Noah’s time and in Lot’s time.

Holy Spirit I stand in the gap praying for my family, my community, my state, and my country. I pray for them to turn from their wicked, evil, sinful, dark ways and to see You. I pray that You will help me to be one small light in a very dark world. Help all these people I pray over to open their eyes to the lies of Satan and his minions. Open their eyes to the real battle going on. I pray over our leaders to still listen to Your voice. I pray for people to see the lies behind all of the politics. Help us to take a stand for truth, righteousness and for forgiveness, and love. Help us to be like Jesus and humble ourselves and try for change even if it upsets the establishment and costs us our life as we know it.

It is time for all my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to truly become as Paul told us to be: “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.

Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God, brings the best out of you, and develops well-formed maturity in you. I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. [Romans 12:1-3, The Message Version]”

The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear-minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
