And when they had prayed, the place where they assembled spwas shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. [Acts 4:31] Heavenly Father I praise You for how You are moving in and on Wilmore, Kentucky at Asbury University. I praise You for how the fire has moved within people, students, residents, professors, and people from other parts of the country. It is so refreshing to see the good news of Your Spirit moving when this dark world is so focused on killing each other and fighting over sin.
Holy Spirit I pray that You will continue to move on people like at Asbury. I pray for this revival to break out in my church, my community, and my heart. I want to see and experience what the early church did when it was written: “Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Now all the believers were together and held all things common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” [Acts 2:43-47]
Holy Spirit I seek healing for Jim, Kayla, Angel, Janet, and Neoma. I seek Your blessing and power placed on their lives and cure them and make them whole so that the world can be made aware that You still move and desire a relationship with us. I pray for my church to see Your Holy Spirit move, change hearts and start helping us apply Your word to how we live, love, and forgive.
I thank my God for every reminder of you. In every prayer of mine for you all, I have always made requests with joy, due to your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ…..you all are fellow partakers of my grace. For God is my witness, how I long after you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve things that are excellent so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, being, filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God. Amen. (Philippians 1:3-6, 7b-11)
