Heavenly Father I praise You for all You are and all You do. I praise You for being my Companion, my King, my Creator, my Designer, my Salvation, and Your desire to have a relationship with me. I praise You for all the things that You are beyond what my mind can grasp or conceive. I praise You for Your word so I can draw wisdom and stand on principles and promises to live a life closer to what You desire of me than what my flesh desires.
Holy Spirit I am struggling to live life with freedom and joy. I feel the burdens of my decisions in my life. I seek to get out of debt, I seek to be the prayer warrior I believe You designed me to be at this point in my life. I seek to be a good and wise leader at work so that I can help run my workplace as professionally and smoothly as possible to ease the stress of my employees. I seek to be a better dad to my adult children without interfering with them growing into the adults you desire them to be. I seek to be a better husband that my wife can trust, depend on, and see changes in my life. I seek to be a better grandfather so my grandchildren can learn to lean on and trust me. I seek to be a more faithful servant and pliable in what You need me to do for my family, church, and community. I seek to become healthier in what I eat, do for exercise, and how I utilize my time. I seek to be a living temple that is sound foundationally both physically and spiritually. I seek to write more books if I can get the finances organized to do so. I seek to know, at the end of the day, that I did all that I could for that day while also being wise enough to plan for what is coming in the next week, month, and year. Help me to pray with power, confidence tied with humility, honesty, and discernment. Help me to talk to You so that my mind stays focused on what it is supposed to focus on. Help me to do better about listening and not reacting. Help me to go from a brute of a man to a man who is meek and yet bold. Let me grow while not forgetting the loss of my son. Help me to see people through Your eyes and to encourage them. Help me to go beyond judging people and seek to see the needs of people and to pray and help when I can.
Let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You, oh God, that is, the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to Your name. Help me to not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased. I will do my best to obey those who rule over me and be submissive for they watch out for my soul, and they will give account for how they lead. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially am urged to do this. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
